Maybe their standards of "average height" are different? Until we get more info on canonical physical characteristics, we can only make guesses and speculate based on what's been provided i.e. With that said I've been exposed to enough media, especially anime that gives some absurd and outright impossible "official" heights for "human" characters so I won't be completely ruling out these characters actually having unrealistic, odd heights.
Perhaps every world in Kingdom Hearts has its own scale of measurement? They're basically other planets and I doubt there'd be universal units of measurement. But then we got Jack Sparrow who's supposed to be 5'10" also dwarfing Sora and Cinderella being the same height as the grown up, young adult Terra so there's a strong chance that clashing art styles are interfering with "canonical heights". Leon (Squall) is supposed to be around 5'9" but is WAY taller than Sora as well as taller than Riku in Re:Mind though this does seem to be an older take on the teenage character.
There's also some other weird anomalies in terms of height. I'm pretty certain that almost every character above "6 ft" according to the chart is wearing thick boots too so there's a good chance you're on to something. There's also the matter of hair-style obscuring the scalp and making discerning character heights based on models more difficult.Īnyways Here's the approximate heights in list form: I imagine Saix/Isa is in the same boat too though there's no proof since there's no in-game model for adult Isa.Īlso Larxene and Aqua seem to be wearing footwear with heels so that's something to consider.Įdit: The footwear may play a role in the heights of much of this cast since so many of them are wearing thick boots or just have giant shoes. Looks like those tear-drop marks are the only physical difference with him. Here's an image of Vexen compared to Even from the same game (using his model from the DLC) to further support the fact that there's an apparent physical difference between a character and their Nobody form, typically the Nobody form being taller than the Somebody form (by has the side-effect of Axel/Lea standing out because he's apparently still the same height in both forms. Even Roxas was taller than Sora at first. The Somebody forms of several Nobodies being shorter is also consistent when you consider how much taller Xemnas and Ansem are compared to Terra. While the heights get pretty outrageous they're surprisingly consistent with what they've been before. Note that I didn't make this image nor did I do the calculations based on Sora's confirmed height of 160 cm or roughly 5'3". Here's a comparison of several KH3 character models:
